Sandy Malkin graduated from Curtin University in WA with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. She worked in the UK and the USA for 4 years prior to returning to Perth to work at Royal Perth Hospital. After over 15 years of experience working with the Spinal Cord Injured caseload, she commenced working in the Rehabilitation Engineering Clinic based at the State Rehabilitation Service. She conducts specialised assessment and equipment prescription for complex seating and mobility requirements of those with a significant disability. In conjunction with a team of Rehabilitation Engineers and specialised technicians, enabling maximum independence for clients with varied functional abilities is a continual rewarding experience.
