Sam Ren grew up in Perth and went to Shenton College. He graduated in 2004 and, since high school, has been working on his own on assistive technology products. He started using assisted technology when he was six years old. Using it for so long he has developed his own skills in this area. Nowadays he works with mainstream engineers from his church. They help him turn his ideas into real products. He will be assisted by his friend who will help translate to unfamiliar listeners.
